It's that time of the year again! Some say it's the holiday season but here at Catlett Creek it's time for goat love. We have been breeding some of fabulous goats over the last week and the smell of goat pee is in the air.

So, I get home from work today and everything looks normal and everyone is in their right places. I go about feeding all the KuneKune pigs, then the chickens, and last but not least the Nigerian dwarf goats. But wait one of the boys is missing, I checked all the fences and no holes so what gives? I go to the other side of the property and low and behold Mr. switch is chatting it up with the ladies through the fence.

Now I still have not figured out how he got out but it just reinforces how creative goats can be. During Nigerian dwarf goat rut season, these boys will do anything to get to the ladies for some action and they develop superpowers. As you can see from the picture, he is very happy to talking to the ladies and I swear he is smiling at me saying hahahha.

We are so excited we have been working hard this year to meet the requirements to be listed on the AKKPS breeders list and we have finally done it! With the guidance of our mentor Caroline Malott at Red Roof KuneKune's we have now fully registered our first litter and are working on the next three litters.
