Our beautiful Momona KuneKune had her very first litter on 11/21/21. She actually farrowed a couple days before her due date. We were not expecting it so it was a shock when we went to feed and BAM! there were piglets nursing. She had 4 boars and 4 gilts all double wattled and very healthy. This is a great litter that came unassisted and she has taken to motherhood very well.

A kunekune pig with great linage should produce a large litter with very little issues at the time of farrowing as well as a natural mothering instinct.

We are very pleased with Bianca and her litter and can't wait to see how they grow over the next two months. With her large litter and unassisted farrowing she will pass these great traits along to her offspring!

These piglets are for sale so please contact us for more information.

The weather is turning cold which outside chores can be a bit chilly so it was time to do some stall cleanup in our heated farrowing quarters. With Bianca in pig and set to farrow in the next two weeks it was time to get her stall clean and ready for her. We also finished tiding up our protection around the heat lamps so the piglets can eat solid food without momma getting to the food.

All in all a great day and much accomplished!
